Calm and Modern Squarespace Website Design for Rhea's Therapy Practice

Rhea is a mental health service provider and professional counselor. When she first approached me, she had already worked on her Squarespace website on her own but the design still needed some love. 💗 Until we teamed up on the project. 🙌

The Challenge

The original website looked too plain and somehow empty. There weren't a lot of photos, and looking around didn't feel much exciting. We needed to inject some life in the design in a way that would align with Rhea's practice and also reorganise the content so that it's both informative and engaging for the visitors.

The Design Concept

We chose tranquil colors with a bit of warmth to show Rhea's supportive and welcoming attitude. We also used lots of free space for airy feel and plant imagery that symbolize transformation and bring calm natural mood. The perfect combination to reflect the essence of Rhea's counselling practice.

Key Takeaways for Therapist Squarespace Website Design

If I had to summarise the key lessons learned from this project that other therapists can apply to their website designs, I would focus on the following:

  1. Choose your aesthetics wisely.

Pick a combination of colors, fonts and imagery that reflects the essence of your practice. Think how you would want visitors to feel when they land on your Squarespace website but also stay true to yourself and stick to visual style that aligns with your personality.

  2. Prioritize User Experience.

Try to put yourself in the shows of your website visitors. Make it easy for people to find the information they need and do it in an interesting way. Present your content mindfully, not too plain, not too cluttered.

Creating an impactful Squarespace website design for your counseling or therapy business might seem intimidating but with a strategic approach, attention to user needs, and staying true to yourself, it becomes an opportunity to authentically showcase your practice's essence and connect meaningfully with your clients. ✨
